​For the past nine years, thanks to the generosity of many, we have been able to provide the children of FNKDO with essential support—food, schooling, and housing. This has allowed them to attend school, receive proper nourishment, and be cared for in a stable environment. As a result, they have made meaningful progress and shown great resilience. Given the ongoing insecurity and political turmoil in Haiti, it is more important than ever to continue supporting these children. Education remains their strongest hope for a brighter future—one that is only possible with continued help.

The founder, Aulide Edouard’s life passion had always been to serve humanity. Upon her retirement as a Registered Nurse from the Miami-Dade Public School System, and against the advice of family and friends, she returned to Haiti, her beloved country, to care  for a couple of the less fortunate children. Today, her organization houses eight children in her modest home she and her husband built more than 20 years ago. Sadly Aulide passed in 2024, but her organization's work continues, honoring her legacy.

Our Mission

The FNKDO offers help to children with little hope of having a better life. It strives to provide them with hope and tools to regain life and live it to the fullest. Our goal is a child-centered and solution-oriented program centered around proving the children with an education and the skill required to build a better future.

Our children's circumstances

FNKDO welcomes children at an early age who are in urgent need of care and stability. Many come from families where parents are absent, deceased, or unable to provide for them due to overwhelming hardship. We maintain regular contact between the children and their families, helping preserve and strengthen these vital relationships while ensuring each child feels safe, supported, and at home.
